National Research and Innovation (R&I) Programme 2009

The Malta Council for Science and Technology has just launched the National Research and Innovation Programme for 2009. The focus of the R&I Programme 2009 shall be on technology transfer and collaboration between academia and  industry. Selection and funding of projects under this programme shall be on a competitive basis.

The National R&I Programme Priority shall be given to proposals targeting one or more of the four priority sectors identified in the National R&I Strategy.

Errata Corrige

There have been minor changes to the rules of participation of the R&I Programme 2009. The following is a list of changes that have been affected.

Changes in the Rules of Participation (21/08/2009)

Sections 01.5, 02.3, 02.4
Programme Scope and Focus extended to include public sector entities.

Section 02.11 
Funding Restrictions Funding:
limit of 66% for a Participant or Category of Participants has been duly corrected to read 75% as indicated in the presentation during the information session.

Subcontracting: In cases where the proposed subcontracting component exceeds the limit of 25%, the Project Coordinator must provide adequate justification for such subcontracting.  

 

The updated rules for participation are available here. No changes have been affected in the Project Proposal Form.

Submissions of Proposals

Project Proposal Submissions need to be sent electronically to rtdi.mcst@gov.mt with "R&I 2009 Proposal Submission" as a subject by 17:00 of Friday 11th September 2009.

Submissions must include:

  1. One single file in Ms Word (.doc) format
  2. One single file in Portable Document Format (.pdf)  
  3. The .pdf file must include a scanned signed copy of the Participant Details Section for each participant.

All received proposals shall be acknowledged by email.
