Researchers’ Mobility in FP7
People Programme Information Seminar
6 February, 2008
09:30 - 12:00
Villa Bighi, Kalkara
The aim of the FP7 People Specific Programme is to make Europe more attractive for the best researchers. Dedicated entirely to human resources in research, the People Programme will be implemented through ‘Marie Curie Actions’ which address researchers at all stages of their career, in both public and private sector, and are open to all domains of research and technological development.
The Malta Council for Science & Technology will be organising an information session on the FP7 People Specific Programme on Wednesday 6th February.
The ‘People’ information session will focus on three main Marie Curie Actions:
- Initial Training Networks (ITN)
Aims to improve career perspectives of early-stage researchers in both public and private sectors by supporting networks of organisations from different countries engaged in research training.
- Intra-European fellowship for Career Development (IEF)
Supports career development of experienced researchers at different stages of their careers, and helps them in acquiring new research skills (multi or interdisciplinary) or to undertake intersectoral experiences.
- Industry-Academia Partnerships and Pathways (IAPP)
Partnerships between public and private research organisations, (including universities, SMEs, manufacturing industries), based on a common research project and aiming to increase skills exchange between the two sectors.
