A briefing session was held at Villa Bighi on the 8th July 2009.  The minutes, including any clarifications made, can be accessed here

The following clarifications were also addressed and answered:

Questions:

  1. Interactive DVDs: Is 30/45 minutes duration acceptable?

  2. Will DVDs be shown at schools only or also on TV?

  3. Language preferred? Maltese or in English?

  4. Interactive CDs: can they be bought off the shelf or should they be produced by contractor?

  5. Any particular age group the interactive CDs will be targeting?

  6. Posters: do the optical illusions have to project a scientific theme or is it the concept of optical illusion which is considered a science in itself?

Answers:

  1. Yes 30/45 mins duration is fine

  2. They will not be shown on TV – they are intended to be shown at the S&T Festival 2009 at University and any other related events, at school etc

  3. The DVDs must be in English

  4. Yes, bought off the shelf

  5. The age groups can vary, if you wish to have some for young students and some for older ones.  Keep in mind our target audience is secondary school students as well as primary (from Grade 4 upwards).

  6. It is the concept of optical illusions we’re looking at, i.e. the poster should be of an optical illusion which the visitor can interact with
